• In Act III, we dive into the Flames of War Pacific books: Banzai and Gung Ho and give you the inside scoop on these great books and talk about our chosen lists.

Recording an Episode

All sorts of shenanigans go on behind the scenes when we're recording an episode of Behind Enemy Lines. Not everything that we talk about makes it on to the episode and we also take a few photos along the way. Something we'll be doing more of is showing you inside the inner workings of what we do.

Here's a bit of a photo dump from the recording of episode 13.....and as you can see, we don't take ourselves too seriously at all!

Episode 10 - Sandboxes

We have done it! We made it to a decade of episodes and we couldn't be prouder! Thanks to all our listeners along the way and if you like our little show, the best thing you can do is share it with your gaming friends or your club.

So, what are we getting up to in episode 10?

Part 1 has our usual n00b news section with a a run-down of what we've seen coming out of the gaming world over the past couple of weeks. We have a look at a few Kickstarters that have piqued our interest too. We managed to get an advanced copy of Berlin from our good mates at Battlefront so give you our thoughts there.
There's something about some computer game in there as well I think?

In Part 2 we answer our listener questions on all the important issues and a few that aren't so important. There's also a quick talk about what happened at TCOW with a special guest appearance from one of the Elder Gods.

And Part 3 looks at how we prep for tournaments, specifically looking at what we're doing for the upcoming WolfCry and Panzerschreck tournaments here in NZ.

Episode 4: Mantic, News, War!

Hello valued listeners!

This week's episode will be recorded very soon so we thought we'd give you a bit of a run-down of what you can expect. We know that you'll listen anyways even if you don't particularly like something because you just never know whats gonna happen on Behind Enemy Lines!

Act One will have all the latest news, views, Kickstarter info and stuffs that we can glean from our reputable sources. This is where we also try and wrangle free stuff from companies so we can review it for them and tell you guys about it!

Act Two we'll talk about what's been happening in the NZ gaming scene with some run-downs of events and also new stuff that we're excited about.

Act Three we're gonna hit the explanation of Kings of War for you guys. As the version 2 beta is out, we'll do a bit of a run-down of the differences for you v1 guys who haven't seen it yet and also what our thoughts are. Hopefully Mantic hears the superlative effort we'll do as well.

Hello there BEL fans! As most of you may be aware, episode 2 of the newest podcast in the wwpd.net stable is now live for you listening pleasure! 

In this episode, Dan and I talk about a few things. Act 1 is all about the N00b News as always. We update you on interesting things we've seen happening in the gaming world.

Act 2 sees (hears?) us talk about whats been happening in the New Zealand scene. We've a bit of a run-down on Battlecry and also the disgusting showing I had in my games at TCOW (www.tcownz.blogspot.co.nz), you dont want to miss that!

Act 3 gets a little more philosophical and serious...well, as much as we can. We talk about the 4 different types of gamer or gaming hangouts and their pros and cons. We also start to delve a little into gamer ADHD, something we know all to well.
