In Act I, the we’ve got some n00b news, rumours, and bald-faced conjecture from the wide world of wargaming.

In Act II, the we talk about local goings-ons and briefly cover using paper terrain on the tabletop.

In Act III, we pontificate on ‘that player’ and how we’ve all been there and are through with that.

Episode 5 - Scooped!

Hello to you, fine listener!

Episode 5 of our little podcast (which is actually getting longer as we talk more and more) is now available for your listening pleasure!

http://wwpd.libsyn.com/podcast/behind-enemy-lines-episode-5

We have the usual run-down of Newb News for you, with a wee exclusive from the Battlefront sheds on Flames of War. That's all in Act 1.

In Act 2, we get into some of the local scene news and a run-down of what happened at our last club meeting. Some good laughs to be had there, mostly at my expense, as always!

Act 3 is a Bolt Action report. Details of how the game plays, our perceptions on the balance of the game and where it fits into our gaming hierarchy.

And across all that, we have Mike actually talking in the 'cast, so we have his expert views.

What an episode! What a podcast! Amazing!

Episode 4: Mantic, News, War!

Hello valued listeners!

This week's episode will be recorded very soon so we thought we'd give you a bit of a run-down of what you can expect. We know that you'll listen anyways even if you don't particularly like something because you just never know whats gonna happen on Behind Enemy Lines!

Act One will have all the latest news, views, Kickstarter info and stuffs that we can glean from our reputable sources. This is where we also try and wrangle free stuff from companies so we can review it for them and tell you guys about it!

Act Two we'll talk about what's been happening in the NZ gaming scene with some run-downs of events and also new stuff that we're excited about.

Act Three we're gonna hit the explanation of Kings of War for you guys. As the version 2 beta is out, we'll do a bit of a run-down of the differences for you v1 guys who haven't seen it yet and also what our thoughts are. Hopefully Mantic hears the superlative effort we'll do as well.

So that's it. You've got a day or so to let us know if there's anything else you want to hear about. Drop us a line on Facebook or if your question is 140 characters or shorter, let us know on Twitter.

Meet the Behind Enemy Lines team

Eventually, the guys who work on the Behind Enemy Lines are going to become superstars who will be mobbed on the street by nerdy cosplayers and other girly types. To get past the whole "getting to know you" chit-chat thingee, we thought we'd just tell you all a little bit about us.

There are three dudes who rock this show. They are, in no reasonable order:

Dan Linder

I've been wargaming since I was a young lad of 14. I got started, like most folks, on Warhammer 40k. After this started to wane, I moved on to Flames of War which I've been playing since 2003. In the last few years, I've branched out and now have something like 10 systems I regularly play.

I enjoy all aspects of the hobby and although I may not be the best at any one thing, I try to give it my all in playing, painting and modelling.

I also have formal radio training so hopefully the podcasts will only get better in the future!

You can find Dan's personal blog at http://kingdannz.blogspot.co.nz/

Mike Haught

I'm Mike and I hobby a lot. I'm pretty into building and flying model airplanes, designing games, playing with toy soldiers of all sorts, moving meeples around boardgames, and Guild Wars. Also Fallout.

Check out my blog at www.scarybiscuitsstudios.com and say hi!

Greg Lockton

G'day, I'm Greg. I've been gaming for what seems like forever. I started around 8 playing toy soldiers with my old man and have been playing on and off since then.

My favourite period to game is WWII, so I'm really into Flames of War and Bolt Action at the moment but I'll give anything a go...hence the large collection of plastic, metal and resin in my man-cave.
I'm also a bit of a social media whizz so if you see a tweet on our twitter (@bel_podcast) or blog post (like this one), its almost likely come from my fingers. I also update our local club blog over at http://tcownz.blogspot.co.nz/

So that's the team...please be gentle if you see us in the street. We're people too....
